2025 season E-Scooter rental opeartion rules

How does it works?
- Walk-ins welcome! but we recommend making a reservation if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You are in a group of 3 to 5. (For group of 5+, please DM us @vanecoride for manual reservation assistance.)
- You are renting for one of the following: 3 hours, half-day, all-day, 24 hours, or weekly.
- You plan to start your rental before 1 PM (We secure the equipment between 10 AM- 1 PM.)
- To prevent no-shows for group bookings, groups of 5 or more must provide credit card information.We will call you to collect the card information the day before your pick-up. (No Show Penlty :$50 penalty)
- Pick-Up and Return Policy Pick-Up: You can pick up anytime between 10 AM and 7:30 PM.
Return: Rentals must be returned by 7:45 PM to the same location (1020 Mainland St). - Unable to return by 7:45 PM?
- You can return it the next day before 11 AM for an additional $20 charge.
- Alternatively, you can upgrade your rental to a 24-hour rental and keep it until the same time you picked it up (pay the remaining balance in-store).
- Same-day returns after 7:45 PM are not allowed. (Please note that all equipment must be returned in person and checked in by an employee.)
- Age Regulations and Body Weight Capacity
- According to BC regulations, you must be at least 16 years old to operate an e-scooter or e-bike.
- Riders under 19 years old must have a parent or guardian present at the time of rental to sign a waiver.
- If a parent or guardian is not present, we will contact them to obtain permission and complete the waiver over the phone.
- Please note that there is maximum capacity weight on E-scooter and E-bike :

Deposit Information
To secure your rental, we require a deposit. You can pay this deposit using:
- Credit Card: A temporary hold will be placed on your card. No charges will apply unless the equipment is damaged or lost.
- Debit Card: A $250 deposit plus a $2 fee will be charged to your card. The $250 deposit will be refunded once the equipment is returned on time and in good condition.

We had a great time riding scooters. There were 6 of us riding. We rode all over Stanley Park, stopped and had lunch at the Tea House, (highly recommended) … More then rode around the entire island and back to the shop. Still had 3 of 5 power bars left after. These are the nicest and best maintained scooters I have rented. They are probably the fastest ones as well. The all have phone holder mounted so you can have your navigation right there. If you're wanting a great time in Vancouver, you really need to rent your scooters here. -
Jae and Gabriel were welcoming, patient and thorough, giving us confidence to embark on a bicycle ride around Vancouver including downtown, waterfront, … More Stanley Park and Granville Island. The ebikes were easy to use, and Jae provided comprehensive route recommendations. It was also evident how much they cared about follow through with clients which let us know they would be available to help if we ran into any trouble on our ride, which we didn't. The battery life was excellent for an expansive journey around Vancouver on safe and clearly marked bike paths. And the rental rates were competitive with other services in the city. Pro tip: if youre visiting Vancouver, take your ride during the week to avoid weekend cycle traffic. We rode on a Monday and had a fantastic experience. Thanks again Jae and Gabriel! -
VanEcoRide was great! It’s a little hard to find the shop, not entirely their fault as Vancouver has strict advertising standards. HOWEVER, once found, … More there was easy to understand instructions, easy to ride, and Vancouver has a GREAT bike lane system! The city was amazing and Stanley Park was so much fun. Thank you VCR! What a truly wonderful experience!
