Summer 2023 Bike Bus Program: Enhancing Connections for Cyclists
2023 New Bus is coming to Vancouver for Bike.
Experience the convenience of the 2023 Bike Bus program, running from June 30 to Sept. 4, 2023. Launched in 2022, this program aims to improve connections for cyclists along one of Metro Vancouver’s most popular cycling routes. The specially retrofitted Bike Buses dedicated to this route are equipped with seven interior bicycle racks, significantly increasing the bike capacity from the standard two found on conventional buses.
With more space available, a greater number of cyclists can now conveniently reach the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal from Bridgeport Station via the George Massey Tunnel by utilizing public transit.
The Bike Bus follows the existing 620 route, operating between Bridgeport Station and the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. At both Bridgeport Station and Ladner Exchange, designated loading and unloading bays are provided exclusively for Bike Bus passengers. Look out for the vibrant exteriors of these buses, clearly labeled as the 900 Bike Bus to either Bridgeport Station or Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, depending on the direction.
This initiative is part of our Customer Experience Action Plan, with a primary focus on facilitating seamless transit experiences and identifying enhanced options for active transportation. By integrating cycling and public transit, the Bike Bus offers a convenient travel solution during one of the busiest periods for cyclists.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to make your cycling journey more efficient and enjoyable with the Summer 2023 Bike Bus Program. Hop aboard and experience the benefits of combining biking and public transit for a hassle-free commute.
